Vintage Agassiz pocket watch with white porcelain dial in 18k. Manual w/ subseconds. 51.5 mm case size. 21 jewels. Circa 1898. Prestigous watch company in the 19th century, later bought by Longines. Watch brand started in 1833 and went out of business with the Great Depression. The watch has many high grade features that Patek Philippe had for the same period, including wolf teeth on a rachet and crown wheels. Pallet fork made with in competition with Patek Philippe. Also it has elaborate snail regulator for the balance wheel only found in high grade movements. Fine Pre-owned Agassiz Watch.
